This project by Blankpage Architects, on the Lebanese coast, intends to revisit the traditional oriental home in a seaside setting (a house with several bedrooms sourrounding an open courtyard with a water fountain).

This version of the concept is achieved by splitting the volumes into two horizontal movements that open up towards the Mediterrean, allowing for uninterruped sea views to all spaces of the house.

The architectural language of the house is ispired by the statification of the nearby rock formation on the shore, graphic and dramatic at once.

The language articulates a series of suspended horizontal planes, thin and protruding towards the sea, till the final layer which extends the circulation all the way to the roofs in the form of suspended gardens and outdoor terraces.

The acustic project developed by 21dB can rely on Architettura Sonora's sound quality and materiality to create a sonic spine connecting all the different planes through sound, making this villa an amazing example of suspended sonic garden.
